Ook al wordt hij al jaren niet meer gebruikt in de reclames van een Nederlands biermerk, de meeste mensen kunnen de volgende zin nog wel afmaken: \u201cHeerlijk, helder\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Waarom werkt een drieslag?<\/h2>\n<p>Waarom een opsomming van drie zaken beter is dan een opsomming van twee of vier zaken, weten we niet precies. Het wekt de indruk van een compleet, afgerond geheel; alsof de drie genoemde zaken de enige mogelijkheden zijn.<\/p>\n<h2>Wie dit met succes toepast<\/h2>\n<p>Obama gebruikt aan de lopende band drieslagen tijdens zijn speeches. Dat is een opsomming van drie zaken. Zo zei hij tijdens zijn conventiespeech in 2004 over terroristen: \u201cDeze vijanden moeten worden opgespoord, ze moeten worden opgejaagd en ze moeten worden verslagen\u201d. Hiermee zette hij zijn punt veel sterker aan dan als hij gewoon had gezegd: \u201cWe moeten deze vijanden opsporen\u201d.
