In june 2008 the first book by Debatrix owners Lars Duursma and Job ten Bosch was released. Along with independent journalist Take Ligteringen the trio wrote a practical guide on how anyone can be more persuasive. Tips and tricks, but also comprehensive strategies that work in the toughest situations!

Within a few months the first and second edition of the book were completely sold out. In the third printing we added an extra chapter on how to speak like Obama. It was released just before the American elections and was an instant hit with the media.
Crowd-sourced
The book was written in cooperation with readers of the prestigious daily newspaper nrc.next. Every Monday an article was published that served as a basis for the book. Online readers were invited to add to, correct and enhance the content of the article. Each Friday a second article was published in nrc.next with a look back at the online discussion. When the book was published a total of 2000 reactions had been absorbed.
